Recycling School

The Recycling School is an educational project created with the objective of raising awareness among primary and secondary school students regarding the importance of the separation, collection and treatment of waste as an essential step for its recycling and, in consequence, for the improvement of our living conditions and the sustainability of our planet.

Although the education system incorporates environmental contents into the school curriculum both directly via some of the subjects and in a mainstream way through all of them and even in the functioning of the centre itself, the Recycling School is an excellent opportunity to enrich these contents with an educational intervention in an environment that is different to the classroom: a mobile unit measuring over 100 m2 where students learn by watching, touching and experimenting.

Following the intervention, the teacher with the group will receive material to complement the learning and extend it for those students considered appropriate. This material will be complemented with an eLearning programme.
